Well, I'm quickly approaching that time of the year where I get pretty busy shooting weddings to be able to post them! I'll be sure to blog every one of them as soon after the wedding as I'm able, but it's definitely beginning to get crazier! You can view a few of Sam and Nick's Sneak Peek photos here, and here are a handful more of their wedding day:

Sam and Nick - Sneak Peak
Sam and Nick were married in April in Green Bay, WI.
Not only did they have an amazing display of huge, well-crafted elephant ice sculptors, the party atmosphere was quite entertaining, complete with lots of cute kids, a bridal party costume change and - of course - some crazy dancing.
Here are just a few photos from the day - more to come in the next couple of weeks!

Kristen and Eric Engagement Session
Kristen and Eric are both originally from Wisconsin (my home state, as well), but currently live in Tacoma, WA. However, even though they're living there, most of their family and friends are still in Wisconsin, so their wedding will be taking place "back home".
Logistically, not many photographers would be able to do both their engagement session as well as their wedding, but (unbelievably) this is the perfect situation for all of us! I'll still be living in Portland until May (so we were able to do an engagement session with minimal travel) and then will be living in Wisconsin after that, so I'll be able to shoot their wedding later this year (again, with minimal travel). The whole situation still astonishes me...
Anyhow, between dodging the northwest rain and trying to staying warm, we were able to snap some great shots of downtown Tacoma, WA:

Andrea and Daniel's Wedding
My wife and I first knew Andrea's older brother and sister for a couple of years and then got to know Andrea through the both of them. We were so excited when we were asked to be a part Andrea and Daniel's special day! And timing worked well for us, as we were in the Midwest visiting our families over the holidays.
Their wedding was intertwined with special and unique moments, as Daniel's mother is Swedish and Daniel's father is Indian. It was fun to see such a beautiful blend of different cultural traditions take place throughout the wedding.

Changing Locations to LaCrosse, WI (area)
Well, the decision has been made - and the plan is that my family and I will be moving to SW Wisconsin, this coming June. We're excited, since this is where we're both from, but it also means that we'll be starting up the business in a new area again. Here's the latest ad - feel free to pass on the good word!

"Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews."

So I wanted to say thanks to all my past clients for speaking on my behalf and helping me to receive this award. If you're a past client of mine and would like to leave feedback on the site, feel free to do so here.
Thanks!

Andrea and Daniel - Sneak Peek
During the holidays, while we were in the Midwest, we went to our friends' Andrea and Daniel's wedding in Central Illinois. It was a fun, unusually warm (mid-60s!), stormy, December day.
Normally, I like to do a sneak peek just a week or two after the day of the wedding, but - because of the holidays - it has taken me a while to get caught up with projects. Sorry for the delay, guys! However, that does mean it will only be a couple weeks before I am done with all the photos.
Keep checking back!
